I'll be honest with you, that's probably half the small towns in Louisiana and places in other states as well. Just go down HWY around that time.. Port Allen, Brusly, Addis, Plaquemine, White Castle, Donaldsonville, etc and you will likely see something popping off along the drive.

I knew someone that graduated from Mansfield in the 90’s. They had two proms, one black, one white.

I grew up in Mansfield and left As soon as I could. I can verify that town is a shithole and has worsened since the early 90’s.

Mansfield, back in the 50s, 60s was a decent town but full of strange folks even then.

Besides Vida Blue y'all mentioned, M. C. Reynolds was a QB at LSU who played for five years in the NFL.

There were a handful of others from there who played professionally.

Never forget we played them in the playoffs in football my JR year. They had a dude who looked like Charles Rogers, and all their OL were about 5’9 340
