There have been a lot of unhappy families this year with the lack of effort to get things back to pre-Covid normalcy,
From what I hear there was a lot of pushback by one woke administration member to keep things strict when it comes to Covid. I’m not sure why that person is even employed by the school.
With that said, can you boys tell your wives to get into carline on time in the morning, I’m tired of getting the emails.

I don’t drive the causeway so the money I save in gas pays for the Tuition. At the rate gas prices are going, I may save enough for college by next year.

Oh no. I’m not going there. Let’s just say it’s not the P or VP. If your around enough you should be able to narrow it down.

Thank you for the detailed response.
As some others have mentioned, going private for us is not just about the quality of the education, but the quality of the environment as well. We want our kids to be brought up in a Christian environment. The money is not an issue.

Cedarwood is a privately owned, for profit school, and it shows.
A lot of kids leave CES every year because of bullying. The school doesn't do much to stop it.
Yeah, our concern was it might be too small.
I went to Kehoe France for a few years which is pretty similar. I had a great experience there, but it's definitely small.

Does anyone know the tuition of these private schools?

I don't know every administrator instead of the top two. I know of random people in the office but I have never seen a structure list. Where can I find one?
Whenever the administration decided to go back to masks for the 3rd time, I enjoyed seeing car line the day after with none of the kids wearing masks. Parents be like we will take our chances baw.

Fix your public schools. Louisianans are perfectly satisfied to flush their property taxes down the drain and just say "well that's just what we have to do here."

EBR people tried to fix EBRP school system and were told “Go make your own school system.”
To say things have gotten ugly as a direct result would be an understatement, as every time they reach a milestone the goalposts get moved.

No one at the school is setting the Covid guidelines. That is handed down from the Archdiocese.

I agree with you. It would take total buy in from everyone involved to fix schools and that is counter to the notion of "equity."
I'm glad I don't have school aged children these days.

Well many times it’s not the schools. There are areas with great public and magnet schools. For it to work parents have to care and get involved with their kids education. There are just so many areas in La. where this does not happen.

So many triggered ppl in this thread lol. There’s quit a few private and Catholic schools in the parish, obviously a demand for them. Not everyone is ok with sending their children to government controlled schools.

I’m always a little surprised by the anti private / pro public school rhetoric on this pretty conservative Christian website

using the free public schools which are the whole reason for living in the suburbs.

Yes, but a lot of people do it. 99% of the time it’s bc mom or dad went to that school and they can’t imagine their kid not graduating from Jesuit or wherever.
