Why did that restaurant close by the trailhead? I like that place

Actually tried to go the day it closed and talked to the owner. Said his food cost skyrocketed. If I remember correctly some of his stuff 4x’ed on him he said. Really nice guy, felt terrible for him.

Place was cool, and food was good. Really good draft beer selection.

The most recent tenant?

No, he was asking about Spoke & Barrel (closed). You're talking about The Trace (still open).

This is about the kids on e-bikes doing wheelies under the overhang, using the hills at the concert venue as ramps. etc.

This simply bans bikes from the trailhead where skateboards and rollerblades have long been banned. Some kids were riding their regulars bikes here the last few years but they (and road / mnt cyclists as well) were not really causing as many issues that have been occuring with the growing popularity of e-bikes.

Saw a dumbass kid smoke a guy walking on the Lakeshore Trail here in Bham last week. MFer was flying down the trail and rang a bell as he approached the people. They moved, just into his path instead of out of it. fricking kid went flying.

These E bikes and scooters have to go.

I run on the trace and lakefront almost daily. Had a kid on an E bike a.k.a. motorcycle pass me going easily 40 mph yesterday. No pedals, this was a motorcycle. There are lots of families walking on the trace with small children on the weekends, I’m shocked that they have not had incidents with small children and E bikes. I wouldn’t even care if they slowed down to a reasonable speed when passing people.

Tbh it’s probably actually “kids” but as we know the allowance of tomfoolery from kids is much lower than teens
