the overzealous organ procurement nurse

I've watched too many true crime shows b/c mind mind immediately went to wondering if she was one of those serial killer nurses who came up w/a way to kill people and not get caught?

Everyone should be doing whatever they can to avoid the hospital at all costs. There are a large number of people there with 2 yr degrees that you wouldn't hire to cut your lawn that are making life and death decisions regarding you or your loved one's health. My brother has been in the hospital for a couple of weeks this month and the level of stupidity I've seen has been amazing. Basically, a family member needs to be there at all times questioning everything that is being done.

We are so fricked.

Did the X user really have to censor the word "dead"?

This culture of today is fricking crazy.

might want to reconsider having that little 'donor heart' on your drivers license.

Brother and I were just talking about this. He had a weird case that he still questions to this day with a family member on his wife's side. He thinks the hospital convinced the parents the kid was dead so they could get the organs. Supposedly your body is worth millions in the organ market. I removed the doner from my license.

My wife had a few family members who had organ donor on their license and the hospital was eager to pronounce them dead to take out their organs instead of doing all they can to keep them alive as opposed to her some of her other family members who did not have organ donor on their license and were kept around a lot longer.

Either way they were acting like a business for profit first over being actual care takers with the patient as the best interest.

Organs equal money.

Keeping someone in a bed equals money.

Helping a person go home means they lose a customer.

Why did he put an asterik in the word dead like it's a curse word?

He didn't want to offend the d*ad people.

I love this statement issued by the President of the network. More like something we would see on TV.

But wait, I bet the bidding is open for his storyl
quote:

“No one at KODA has ever been pressured to collect organs from any living patient,” according to the statement from Julie Bergin, president and chief operating officer for Network for Hope, which was formed when KODA merged with the LifeCenter Organ Donor Network. “KODA does not recover organs from living patients. KODA has never pressured its team members to do so.”

Best reason to not donate your organs.

Maybe not OD’ing on drugs could help as well

Maybe they should give every junkie who ODs the same scare so we don’t have to revive them twice a week.

I AM NOT an organ donor.

Those LOPA people are fricking insane running tests on people who are still alive! I wouldn't put it past them to kill a patient that didn't have a good prognosis just to get the goods. $$$$$$$$

Do we really need the asterisk instead of the A on dead?

Yea, there are some serious questions that need to be answered. Brain death testing requires two different physicians in order to reach that conclusion. Where in the process did things go wrong

All of this

But there is anything but a twitter link?

I’m an organ donor if I go in a car wreck; I’m a cadaver donor if I go natural…
