I'm pretty sure you can't keep the winnings.

The chances of you not having to pay any of that back is zero.

This seams like a decent option, but where are you going to withdraw millions without a flag being raised?

Do you think their bank WON'T notice eventually?

Banks have transaction monitoring software that would catch something like this pretty quickly.

And then transfer it all to my savings account

Collect interest until it’s time to pay it back

A few posters have alluded to it, but what WOULD be the gameplan in a situation like this?

Unless you don’t mind prison or living on the lam, the game plan is to tell the bank to fix it.

Lol at the people thinking they can just ghost with millions of dollars that the bank erroneously put in your account.

If you invest say a million in the market just for a few days you could make some money off their screw up.

Conspiracy Hats [ON] OFF

The deposit amount was correct, but it just went to the wrong person. Someone was supposed to receive that deposit, but the question is who?

NEW CHICAGO, Ind. (WGN via CNN) — The first federal stimulus payments are on their way to Americans, and a northwest Indiana man got quite the shock when he went to the ATM this past weekend.

Charles Calvin is a volunteer firefighter in New Chicago, Indiana, and unbeknownst to him, he received his first stimulus payment from the federal government on Friday. However, it wasn’t the amount he was expecting.

“I went to the ATM at the Family Express, and once I withdrew $200 out of my account, I looked at the available balance still left in my account,” he said.

He said his account had $8.2 million in it. He was only supposed to receive $1,700.

Damn that Nigerian Prince actually came through for this guy... good for him...

Smart. Now you can have a cellmate now that you've added the charge of conspiracy to each basic charge.

Yeah, spend away and when the audit discovers the mistake you can spend the rest of your life with no assets or cash. There is no statute of limitations on tax debt

What about the accrued interest?

Even if you hold onto $8.2M for just a week, you could accrue a couple grand in interest right?
