Went over a beagle that had its front paws cut off by the train ahead. Little guy was still alive as he raised his head as we approached.

I felt terrible the rest of the trip. Called the dispatcher to let the local sheriff know so hopefully someone could go out to put him out of his misery.

I think that’s fake, who is filming? The give away to me is that there is a jump cut to the oncoming train and then back onto the action.
Both things were filmed and then put together. This was probably somebody’s film school project

Its obviously fake because the guy and dogs still cast a shadow when the train passes them.

If a train blocks sun, there should be a single shadow on the ground.

In this video, the train casts a shadow which the people are hiding behind BUT there’s a second even darker shadow underneath the people when there’s no sun on them. That wouldn’t happen in real life. Just one shadow from train blocking the sun.

Great eye! I didn’t think it was real, but that was the final nail for me.

Reminds me of a story an old man told me one time.

He says do you know the story of the little dog that got it's tail run over by the train? I said no. He says, a little dog got a little piece of it's tail chopped off by a train bc it was walking too close to the tracks. And the little dog was so distraught by the situation, he kept sniffing around the tracks looking for his lost piece of his tail. And then, another train came by and ran over the dogs head.

I said wtf dude?!? And the old man said, the moral of the story is dont lose your head over a little piece of tail.

Yeah, fake. Still a good one though.

That would be the best fake ever.

Look at the shadows of the tree and the guy. There shouldn't be a shadow for him when he's behind the train.

And more logically, if this was real, we would have a) someone just filming a dog tied to railroad tracks, b) some guy who just happens to be sprinting on the tracks and discovers the dog , and c) knows how to untie the leash in just the nick of time.

It's fake. Two videos stitched together.

There is also the shadow of a tree being cast across the tracks that completely disappears as the trian passes. Very fake.

Bigger issue for me was why take the time to untie the leash? Just pick up the dog and get it off the tracks.

To be fair though I’ve seen Fried Green Tomatoes.

This would be a good video for Captain Disillusion on YouTube.

Because there was no train

Besides the shadow which is the biggest giveaway the dog wouldn’t have been laying there like nothing was going on if an approaching train was that close.

No I got that on my first view.

But instead I thought “if this was real dude would have just picked up the dog, got it off the tracks, and let the train cut the leash. Like Fried Green Tomatoes”

I would’ve done it for my dog that I grew up with, but I’m ashamed to say I’m not sure I would for one I didn’t know.
