Never thought my biggest interest in CF would be for Michigan State to lose last games
Posted by johnstamosfanclub on 10/18/21 at 11:58 pm
I’d rather LSU lose last 5 if it meant Michigan St loses last 5 as this will be terrible for our program.

O is still recruiting this year. They’re not gonna hire anyone until after the CF season which is New Years because that coach won’t want it leaked while he’s still on the team. What difference does it make hiring 1/1 when college ends or 1/9 when nfl ends. Gotta look at all the details pal. You think Cinci head coach would tell his undefeated program in December before they maybe make playoffs that he’s headed to BR next year? No. NFL ending date has nothing to do with it, nor college. Again, O is still in charge of bringing in a top recruiting class for until they sign
ESPN keeps assuming Woodward will hire a P5 coach and not G5
Posted by johnstamosfanclub on 10/17/21 at 11:08 pm
I’ve read 3 articles so far on ESPN that Woodward and LSU are extremely likely to go for a P5 coach and not a G5. They referenced Woodward’s past hires as a reason. Seems like they’re assuming too much.
re: How was O a popular hire?

Many many people said that they didn’t support it and said they were eating crow in 2019/20. Many did. Many people can assess life well enough to realize that Ed Orgeron is not a bright man, very similar to someone who does the same manual labor everyday in shrimp/crab/crawfish/oyster harvesting or oil and gas. Not someone who is adaptable, quick on his feet, and knows how to formulate a brilliant game plan. Stereotypes exist because 95% of the time, they’re true.
I hated the hire in 2017. I was shocked in 18 and 19 and thought maybe it’s not that hard to be a great coach just need good athletes.
We have to get a respectable man as a coach. Not a clown and a shrimp captain. It shows how low class LSU ADs were at the time. The loser mentality of Louisiana was so ingrained in ADs that it was just natural to select Miles and Orgeron. We have to have a guy you’d want running the company you work for. That’s the only way to do it. There’s seemingly a number of them. Just gotta figure out who’s real and who is fools gold.

It’s obvious that he’s not going to coach next year, if he even makes it through this schedule.
His payout is something around $20 mil. Please correct if wrong. LSU will do anything they can to make it less than half of that by using all of the crap he’s pulled (like camp story, pics w women in bed, maybe UCLA comment but I doubt it).
I see big lawsuits and toxicity with him as we move on for years, so he can get as much cash as he can. It won’t effect our on the field product but just be a pain for years.

My take on boomers is that they’re sad, depressed they’re about to pass away and it comforts their ego to say millennials are soft. Just like every other generation said about their youngins. Have fun being old. Tick, tick
re: Better city? Philly or Boston.
Posted by johnstamosfanclub on 10/12/21 at 1:33 am to BZ504
I lived a long time in Boston too and don’t like it. Population density is horrid. Rent is $2500 for 500 sq ft apartment and cost of living is horrid. Parking is absolutely non existent. Multiple times a week I had to spend 20-30 minutes looking for a parking spot and have to park up to a half mile away from my apt or spend $500/month for garage. Traffic is bad. There aren’t really many great places to eat. My specific neighborhood is 35,000 ppl/sq mile. Southern cities are 2,500 ppl/sq mile. Many taxes too that I never got before. Great job opportunities and great education. Other than that, it’s a no go for me.
You really don’t appreciate how open spacious a city is in the South with ample parking until you’ve been in NY or Boston. It really, really sucks

Indy bowl is west of I-49. Everything in Shreveport is awful West of I-49. Shreveport does have enough to do though.
Herby K’s, Superior steakhouse and grill, The Cub bar, Casinos, Earnest’s, Chianti, I think there’s a restaurant in a old shotgun house in the Highlands that is pretty cool, Bossier area people talk about (frozen pirogue, beauxjax) is good. That’s about it, blind tiger downtown too. Nightlife Id do is just Superior grill or steakhouse, best looking women and not trash like the cub or casinos

It’s time for a new coach, when you’re up 9 points in the 3rd quarter and expect to lose
Posted by johnstamosfanclub on 10/3/21 at 11:19 pm
I had beyond 90% confidence when we were WINNING by 9 that we would lose the game. Do you know how pathetic that is? How much lack of faith, heart and determination a program has to have for fans to thoroughly believe to expect to lose up 9 second half?
To be honest I was above 50% as soon as Bo got the first touchdown. The program is full of such losers.

Pats really weren’t move at will just got a ton of help from refs with penalties. They completed very little without ref help there

That was really bad refereeing that drive. 25 yards and auto first downs on bogus penalties
