I would never live in a neighborhood where that would be remotely possible. If the neighborhood I live in started to get overrun by “hood rats” as you say, then yes, I’d move on.

However, I’ve been a homeowner and owner of other properties over 20 years in orleans parish and that’s never happened. However, given the current state of the city, I’m seriously considering cashing out and moving on. I have a few obligations that’s got me tied down for the next few years so I’m weighing my options and figuring out an exit plan.
