I told wife about this and she laughed. Said it sounds flirty but to have the husband go to the swimming lessons for now.

Sure, letting him know I would be in his face would have felt better, but giving him the fear that he will be exposed very likely has him far more upset and worried

Community pools in this area are insane. My family doesn't even bother. We just get season passes to Alabama Adventure and go out there when we want to go swimming.
We were on a waiting list at a local pool at one point and totally forgot about it. Our names came up like 3 years later and I told them we were no longer interested because we had found much cooler things to do.
