Better check my clips.

They towed his truck off and searched it as well. This guy is paying a hell of a price for getting drunk and acting the fool. I would really like to hear exactly what he was doing to draw the attention of security and the police.
As far as the guns, I would bet money the 3 gun competitor story is accurate. They shoot the matches on the weekends and it just makes sense that he would have that combination of firearms and a “large quantity” of ammo.

Which do you think occurs more often, a guy having 3 guns in his hotel room because he’s in town for a shooting competition or a guy having guns in his high rise hotel room because he’s planning on shooting out of it? What did you think the likeliest explanation was?
Way to leave out the arrest part

maybe you should avoid jumping to any conclusions and wait until they find out why he had the guns.
Wow you're so enlightened!
A guy was arrested and they found guns and ammo in his room. You act like it's a giant leap to assume it was a guy with bad plans. Especially on NYE.
All of you are coming in here and acting like geniuses for making a post after having more information than before. Hindsight is 20/20, you aren't some special genius.

You must have a very cynical view of the world. Do you get nervous every time you see a middle eastern man in a airport?

You must be some upset considering the tens of thousands that die in automobile accidents

Could be or could not be.
The closest USPSA competition was in Austin this morning at 9:00 AM

read on another forum that the guy was in town for a 3 gun USPSA match. Decided to get wasted and the rest is history.
I was thinking this. Dude was probably on his way to a 3 gun match.

you are comparing accidents to murder?

USPSA sanctioned match. I am sure there are any number of club matches in the metro area on any given weekend.

Before Vegas, I literally can not think of a time that a guy with guns in a hotel room was an issue?
Your conclusion that it was a terrorist is about as crazy as asssuming every muslim that flies on an airplane is a terrorist.

No it isn't, unless the Muslim is arrested with a box cutter or gun or something else that can be used in a terrorist plot involving an airplane.
The leaps in logic y'all are making are absurd.

So you have a small arsenal.

You realize how often someone keeps an AR type of gun in a hotel room? Every night, there are probably literally 1000s of semi auto rifles in hotel rooms. Whether it be law enforcement, gun shows, hunting, etc.
What about thugs and gang bangers. Probably 100s of illegal "arsenals" kept in a hotel room every night just from drug dealers.

The guy was acting a fool; the guy had 3 guns in his room.
So now, everytime we have a truck driver that acts crazy he's a potential terrorist too? I mean that's more common these days then shootings from hotel rooms.

Cowboy action shooting also uses the same configuration of firearms.

Yep just an innocent man going to a trade show. Arresting a man who is dumb enough to carry while shite faced is a win all around. Idiots shouldn't carry guns.
You're acting like they arrested him for drunk and disorderly then happened to find guns in the room.

You just keep proving yourself to be an illogical person who spits out absurd analogies so I'm done

And FYI, I've brought my guns into several hotel rooms. I just don't get trashed and carry them like an idiot.
