Even in the hood, they aren’t going to drag a dude out of his car and force him into an abandoned house to shoot him. They’d just shoot him in his car & keep pushing.

This. That typically just doesn't happen. What does happen every single night of the week in BR is a young professional gets drunk, begins to look for blow and heads where the wind leads you for that, and they buy some and have fun. But every now and then...

Yep, he was led into a trap house looking to score and the end result of that bad decision was a bullet in the head.

I think people don't realize just how bad some area of NBR and how little regard some of those residents have for your life. Murder means nothing to them. Just a part of the street game. Whoever killed that guy is probably eating chicken nuggets right now bragging about how he 'hit a lick' last night and got $74 off that dude.

I shouldn't say more, last time I got banned for 6 months.

Agreed. I think some posters think Bawell and Highland north of campus is as bad as it gets. It’s gets borderline war zone in the worst parts up north.

The residents in that neighborhood won't say shite to the police unlike the body dump they had off of Millerville last night.

What became of that? Haven't seen anything about it today.

EBRSO arrested a car shop owner today. Apparently he killed the guy over money.

So how did the dude end up in a tarp in the middle of the road off of Flannery?

Killed elsewhere, was being transported in car, got dumped at intersection.

Considering the perp didn’t try to destroy any of the evidence of blood in the car or at the business, I think they were dealing with a fricking genius.

He was either buying drugs, or alternatively he was buying drugs.

Picturing this in my head is almost comical. Seems like some shite you’d see in a movie with some dark humor.

So, he finished work a week ago and hadn’t been heard from then turns up dead today?

Unless his body had been sitting for a while, I’m guessing he was doing more rails than Tony Hawk in that missing week.

Ever seen Magnolia?

One of the first scenes of the movie was a cop reporting to a scene and the woman there acting squirrelly about him poking around.

She gets more and more specific about what he shouldn’t be looking at then finally says “That body ain’t mine!” when he finds a corpse.

NBR is an extremely rough place.
These people will shoot each other over $1.
Too many drug dealers and margins are low.
The past few years some low level street dealers rob and kill the people who buy drugs from them.

This is not uncommon for NBR just does not make the news. One night they had two African American kids shoot up a house full of Latinos. The thugs walked down the street firing off rounds like the Wild West. I thought that would have made the news and it did not. Hate to say it NBR is a war zone the thugs rule it.

Sounds like a drug deal gone bad and they dumped the body in the house not uncommon in NBR.

Sounds like his need for drugs overshadowed his ability to make sound rational decisions.

Thus his demise.

fwiw it's a shithole area, but if your just driving through and not loitering and getting into business you shouldn't be in there is little chance you die.

Turning himself in prob had something to do with not worrying about a dirty crime scene

Um. What's the one thing dudes seek out more than drugs when outta town on business? Strange poon and cock.

I'm betting my left nut he was on the Grindr, Scruff, or Manhunt looking for some BBC and was lured there.

I remember I talked to an old addict. They were telling me about how they were evacuated to St Louis after Katrina. I asked, how they kept the habit going out there. They said they just knew what neighborhoods to look for.

after reading the thread Tindr/Grindr makes sense too.

Seems odd he'd go looking in that neighborhood. He could find a prostitute in some hotel off of Airline or Siegen I'm sure.
