For starters, one side needs to accept that it's OK to give some of those rights back. Folks might be more amenable to discussions if it wasn't always, without fail, completely unidirectional.

You can always move to China if you'd like. If you're so worried about 2A, I'm sure North Korea would be more than happy to take you in. You should know that giving "some of those rights back" means to give them all back. Use your brain.

Fortunately we make sure they can all have plenty of access to weapons so that no person has to leave the world alone.

Japan has a much worse mental health crisis. Japan has no mass shootings. Maybe we should assemble a team of experts to figure out why.

So you propose to ban guns and just say frick the people and their problem of mental health, at least they can't mass shoot any more? Also this fricks good people who abide the laws and own guns. So it's a lose lose shitty arse solution.

Real classy. How about focus on the real problem and help people. That's what this country is, or used to be about. Get them the help they need to love an as normal life as possible, while the rest of us can continue to live where freedom prospers.

Well, here's glenwood springs. Ever been? It's arid, and noticeably different topography from what lies further east down i-70 towards Denver. They buried Doc Holiday there. Not your typical gray mountain/evergreen front range look, and doesn't vote blue like Denver anti depressant people.

Yes. Its a semi-arid, steppe, alpine climate, and there are mountains that are red, but its not red rock desert. And Carbondale where this guy is from does have more of a front range look.

Anyway, it was a petty thing to try and correct you on, so just ignore me but hey at least we are arguing about something interesting, and not the same old, tired 2a vs gun control, and mental illness merry-go-round that all of these threads are rife with.

We glorify shitty and violent behavior in this country on a daily basis and then wonder why stuff like this happens.

Beat the hell out of and shoot 100 people w/very little blood? PG13 and it can run on network TV no problem.

A half second shot of some boobs and somebody says the word "frick"? Rated R and even gets edited for cable TV b/c "THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!"

If one of his “ improvised explosive devices “ went off early would they first say suicide? I would guess this is what happened.

I'm not the only one who did not read your post as intended; if you intended to say that the "Gov't" or "Left" need to give some of these rights back, then my apologies.

A mentally ill country is a blue country. Don't expect it to change.

Real root of problem IMHO. I can kinda get shooting up a bunch of assholes that you have a grudge against, but this killing of completely random and unrelated people, I don't think I ever will.

Communities at higher elevation have higher suicide rates. It's probably hypoxia related.
