Define normal. Who's to say what this guy got into as he matured. For all we know, mama may have been a tried and true Christian woman who tried to instill things in her kids lives to make them become productive citizens.

Once out the nest and on their own, you don't know what they are getting into. I've lived it and refuse to take any responsibility for the choices kids I've raised have taken. My stepson turned to white powders and became a junkie and his sister is dealing with her own personal demons that came about once they were on their own. Their mother and I gave them a very stable, wholesome environment to grow up in. What the did once on their own is their issue, not ours.
