Looks less like a lung and more like he swallowed a tree limb.

That is a bizarre story.

It’s a little disturbing to the average OTer and I would suggest that stories like it do not belung on this board.

Edit: added the bold font because joke flew over too many heads.

At that point, everything else in the paragraph made no sense to me, but I'm saving a few of those words to throw out randomly over the next few days. Just to see the looks I get.

Although not at all common, this has actually happened a few times before. I work for a medical-device manufacturer and we make and sell items used in cardiac surgery- including heart valves, stents, pacemakers and other devices. Not sure exactly sure what this cast consisted of but usually it's composed of fibrin (a protein formed during the clotting of blood), red blood cells and dead tissue.

You know that thing didn’t fly out of his mouth on it’s own. He probably had to pull it all the way out with his hands. I would die on the spot!!!

Coagulated blood is quite strong. I can see it coming out in one piece.

Sad that dude was struggling with quite the number of health issues.

Dud has some serious medical issues for someone so young...

Side note: That surgical towel that's sitting on is awesome for drying your vehicle. They don't leave any lint...
