One thing that I've noticed about the undergrad kids in class at LSU now vs. even 10 years ago is that they hardly talk to each other before or after class. Not trying to insult anyone when I say this... just my observation... the current crop is the most poorly socialized I've ever seen at LSU.
I feel sorry for a kid coming to LSU with no prior social connections.
That being said... LSU is big enough to where you will eventually find your tribe. But you need to go find them. Think about what you like to do. I guarantee you that there are people on campus who do that exact same thing. Go find them.
They won't come to you.

do you live in a dorm? Any clubs seem interesting to you? LSU has a bajaillion clubs and organizations which are great for meeting people with similar interests.
My best friends to this day have come from the dorm and clubs I was involved with....also study group people one you get into upper level classes in your major
