I hope that place floats away. pretty sure Dodson's entire police force consists of one cop who sits on the side of the highway waiting for someone to blow his doors off at a blazing 36 miles per hour.

In 1989 the Sabine reached 28.5 feet and about half of my town was flooded. It's supposed to crest at 34 feet Wednesday. My house is on a hill that has never had water on it and there is a chance it could Wednesday. Surveyor said Toledo Bend dam would have to bust for my house to flood, guess his arse was wrong.

Ouachita River is flowing NORTH from Sterlington.

So much water is being dumped into the O from near Monroe the level of the river is higher than north of Sterlington!!!!!!!!

So much rain has been dumped in the Ouachita River north of Monroe it has forced the river to flow backward at Sterlington, 25 miles north of the city.

"There are some strange things happening with this storm that I've never seen before," said John Stringer, president of the Tensas Basin Levee District.

Stringer said because of the volume of water surging above Monroe, "it has flattened out the slope of the river and the current is running in reverse at Sterlington."

"Before you ask, no, I've never seen that before," Stringer said.

They are fine, it's mostly amar to silman that are having the problems. I just sent and checked on my house an hour ago, so far no water but it's too close to be comfortable

Serious questions....who do you call to get someone stuck in their house. My MIL decided to wait for her dog to come back before leaving, waited to long and is stuck. Water is in her house already and is supposed to be coming up another 2-3 feet by tomorrow afternoon. She's in Robert, LA.
