We probably know each other.

In Bogalusa:
Willis avenue is totally under water. Zestos and that shopping center is under water. Most of the area off the Bogue Lusa creek south of Borgne Ave. is under water. Most of the bottoms along the Pushpetappa are under water. If anyone saw the helicopter rescue on the news, that's where that was. The back side of Founders drive area towards Richardson's Landing is flooded. Honestly anything close to any major creek or river is flooded.

I haven't heard much from Franklinton other than everything along the Bogue Chitto is flooded.

You'll notice the dry air wrapping around the low and generally heading toward our area. Hopefully it'll fizzle out the rain still falling over La.

A lot depends on the exact tract of the ULL and the evolution of convection over the Gulf. The concerning thing is that the 12z Euro shows another 5-7" through Saturday night but keeps it just off shore. So the potential for more extreme rainfall is there but where does it fall? The models have really struggled with placement and timing, so just have to watch the real time data and see what the trends show.

Very possible but I haven't lived there in a long time. Almost certainly you know my cousins who are still there.

Want to talk about stranded?
I've been in Ruston for 4 days with zero chance to get back to BR because 167 south to I49 is closed in 2 different spots due to flooding.

225inbred, why not go i20 to 49? Is that impassable at this point?

I have to get to bossier tomorrow. Am I even going to be able to get up there from Br?

I've got a friend who lives Bossier City; evacuated with 2 kids; husband in Air Force but in DC until Sunday. Home is dry last I heard.

HER parents live in Bogalusa ... man what a nightmare for all involved.

There's a section of I-49 that is closed just south of S'port but as far as I can tell the rest of it is open except for some exit ramps around Natchitoches. You can detour around that one section on 171 to Stonewall (or vice versa if traveling north). By tomorrow you might be GTG.

TulaneUvag, if I go i20 west to Shreveport and then i49 south that won't work BC I49 south is closed due to flooding at 2 different parts between Shreveport and Alexandria

Portions of I-20 westbound east of Shreveport were impassable earlier. Better check that out before making that trip.
