I doubt LSU will, we cancelled a few weeks ago and it turned out not being that bad.

I made it out of my water hole but tore some covers off the undercarriage of my vehicle. Ah well.

If you leave anytime soon you should encounter no problems with 20 to 55 to 12.

I gotta say, I owe an apology to the Weather Channel. They nailed this with their projections. When they put out their 12"-18" projections for northwest La last week, I thought it was hype and they would slowly walk it back as it got closer to go time. They stuck with it and they were right.

The initial NWS flash flood watch had 9" projections in some areas with locally heavier amounts and that was just dead wrong.

When it stopped today for now my total at the house was 13.5".

Tuesday evening I got .30 inches in less than 5 minutes. Only thing I've ever seen worse than that was when we got 12" in a few hours up here in the mid 90's.

They predicted monsoons, on Monday, in Lafayette starting Tuesday and we didn't get rain until Thursday.

Saw a report of 3" at BTR and it looks like maybe 4"+ down towards the Geismar area. Not too bad for those areas but depends on what falls tonight. Some models have storms coming back though that area and some don't.

THE OTHER AREA OF CONCERN IS ACROSS EASTERN LA INTO SOUTHERN MS.
WHILE STILL NOT GREAT...THIS AREA IS MORE UNSTABLE THAN FURTHER
NORTH. ALSO BEING FURTHER REMOVED FROM THE NORTHERN STREAM
WAVE...THIS PORTION OF THE FRONT/MOISTURE AXIS SHOULD ONLY
PROGRESS EAST VERY SLOWLY...POTENTIALLY BECOMING NEARLY
STATIONARY. CONTINUED DEEP SOUTHERLY FLOW INTO THIS UNSTABLE AND
MOIST AIRMASS WILL RESULT IN CONTINUED TRAINING CONVECTION OVER
THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS. INFLOW IS EXPECTED TO WEAKEN THROUGH
AFTERNOON...BUT SHOULD REMAINS STRONG ENOUGH TO MAINTAIN
CONVECTION...POSSIBLY JUST SLIGHTLY LESS ROBUST THAN IS CURRENTLY
BEING SEEN. BUT WITH SOILS SATURATING...THIS ADDITIONAL CONVECTION
WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE THE FLASH FLOOD RISK OVER THIS AREA.
RECENT RUNS OF THE HRRR AND THE 12Z ARW/NMMB ARE DOING A DECENT
JOB WITH THE HANDLING OF THIS CONVECTIVE AREA. THREE HOUR RAINFALL
TOTALS WILL CONTINUE TO BE AROUND 2".

anybody have any more pictures of West Monroe Thomas Road?

This was last night by Chick-Fil-A/Wal-Mart and the Hospital.

Crazy to think this much water got to Thomas Rd.
