This is the most flooding I've witnessed since helping with Katrina. Not comparing the two.

Bistineau is up 4 feet in the last few hours. Our camp house is pretty high of the water but the boat houses are already flooded.

Sligo washed out in front of the old Chesapeake building. Caplis closed. Olde Oaks and the likes are 100% trapped

Damn. It just keeps getting worse. I hope 49 or 20 doesn't close anywhere between BR and Dallas... I'm not looking forward to being on the road tomorrow

Pretty much anything goes around here, but when people are suffering through no fault of their own, it's best to tread lightly.

Honest question, what are you trying to achieve? Or are you just bored?

Ktbs just showed a graphic saying 20.5" of rain in south shreveport so far.

I believe it. My fiancé and I spent our very romantic first night together in our new home watching the backyard fill up right to the back door and every hour or so I'd go out to the drain on the street and make sure it was clear. I had to go out at 1am and tear the fence down on the side without a gate to help the flow out of the yard. Continuing on to this morning the drainage was doing all it could but only tall trucks and suv's could get out of the gate. But this afternoon has been relatively calm and the drainage has been able to play catch up a little bit. My backyard has gone down about 4 inches. And we definitely needed it (and all the sandbagging we did this morning) cause they expect "the main event" tonight/tomorrow morning. Anyway, that's the weather report from south shreveport. Back to you.
