That is very similar to Fran's strength in 1996 when it made landfall at Cape Fear, NC.

Well even though it’s not a major hurricane it’s very close to be a CAT 3 and should be taken very seriously. I read a few days ago how there were posters saying this event had no chance of hitting the US and how the US East Coast had dodged a bullet.
It was way to early to be saying those types of things. These storms are unpredictable and your best bet is to pay close attention to your local weather hurricane experts, the NHC and TWC. This is what they do
Good thing that SC Governor made the right call.

This is probably as far west as Dorian will get. Can really see the east push on WV.

A real Bahamian entrepreneur would have about 1000 boat props stored away now, for sale later.

Most of it was found at Cocoa beach, but some was found miles up the road. This is all coming in from a wrecked Bahamas boat. I would not be surprised if they find more from Ft Pierce to Charleston.

I found 5 bricks on Hilton Head...eh sorry, miscounted. I found 3 bricks.

Still a fairly healthy looking hurricane, especially on radar.

Yep. A large CAT 3 that a lot of people went to sleep on.
