Not sure what you're insinuating. Hell, I don't even know my stance at this point. It's got me captivated as hell.

Did they say what kind?
Turkish Lira? Danish Krone? Pesos? That would be interesting to learn.

Fake manifesto doesnt even include lines that media has quoted already.

Is anyone else like me and can’t believe anything anymore because of the corrupt fricking government and media?
I don’t believe anything anymore.
I don’t believe anything anymore.

Locating a suspect and solving are not even close to the same thing.

Yep. I don't believe the fricking media or government. Remember the Titanic sub explosion? They knew those guys were dead for days and they kept saying they were alive for views.

What would you need to see to make it not fishy?

I'm not sure exactly. It just seems to me like the whole circumstances surrounding how he got caught, what was on him at the time, where he was caught, the ID stuff, it just doesn't make sense.
And, some elderly person identifying him? I don't think the surveillance photo of him looks nearly enough like the photos we're seeing now to be able to just spot him at a McDonalds.
It's not adding up. They just had his friend on on CNN who basically was like, this is not the guy I knew. I just can't put my finger on what I think actually went down.
The guy stops communicating with his family and social circle, etches some words onto some bullets, takes a bus across multiple states, murders a stranger from behind on a NYC sidewalk, gets arrested with the weapon, 10k cash, fake identification, and a handwritten manifesto in his fricking pocket. Of course it doesn’t make sense, he’s fricking nuts.

This is not adding up. If he had all that, then why the frick was he only four hours outside of New York and not much further in his journey? And he claims it wasn’t his, which may be true if the Feds planted it. Not adding up at all.
Surely it wouldn’t have anything to do with the fact that he traveled there by bus and has his photos all over every media outlet. Yes let’s take him at his word about the planted money, it’s not like he literally shoots people in the back.

Then why did he get $10K in cash, $2K of it in foreign bills? Not adding up is it?
I think a lot of people are still carrying some sentiment of cold blooded hitman instead of 20-something with possible mental illness that might’ve completely overwhelmed himself
He also had a bag of Monopoly money that he surely planned to use and didn’t
I suspect there were a few moments where he had grand plans that flopped.
My best guess: planned to shoot and make a show. Shot but couldn’t do the performative piece. planned to run but wasn’t sure it’d work out so he had manifesto on him etc….. Got back to/towards home with plan to keep going but was stunned both by the incident but also how quickly they had pics of his face on tv and fake id. Suddenly he’s a bit frozen in space unsure what to do and spirals a bit until caught. Prepared to do suicide by cop he again freezes. Ignoring 10k to get going I bet he had a stash of crypto out there waiting for him had he made it out of the country

The CEO sounds like a really upstanding person:
What a turd.
quote:
In May, the Hollywood Firefighters’ Pension Fund had filed a lawsuit against Thompson, alleging he had sold over $15 million of UnitedHealth stock despite being aware of an active Justice Department antitrust investigation into the health insurance company that he did not disclose to investors or the public.
Though UnitedHealth, the lawsuit alleges, was aware of the Justice Department investigation since at least October 2023, the public would only learn of the case when the Wall Street Journal published a story about it on February 27, 2024. When news of the investigation broke, it erased almost $25 billion in shareholder value. But by that time, Thompson had already cashed out, selling over $15 million in personally held UnitedHealth shares, per the suit.
If true, the account affirms the countless internet memes’ depiction of Thompson as a rapacious health insurance executive fat cat. Literally none of the news media coverage I’ve seen about the murder has included this context, instead tugging at heart strings about the two sons he’ll be leaving behind. Members of Congress have likewise issued anguished statements about the tragic loss of life, remarks that decline to mention the allegations against him or the vast sums of money the company he oversaw has contributed to them and other politicians.
What a turd.

Altoona is almost the distance from NOLA to Memphis. Even on a bus, it should not take him that long. And why is he traveling on a bus with $10K on him? Seems like that should only slow him down and be seen by more people.
Sigh. I’d imagine it’s easier to conceal one’s identify using bus transportation than producing false identification before flights. When his photos went public as quick as they did, he likely made the common sense call to lay low - not on a bus. And if 10k was his nest egg and he blew 2k of that flying, he has a tinier nest egg.
quote:
I was told that he was looking to get caught, so which is true? If he’s looking to get caught, he wouldn’t have $10K on him that the cops/feds could just steal. And what kind of foreign currency was the $2K? How did he get it?
Told by whom, you got a turd in your pocket? If he’s staying at hostels/improvising places to hide, where’s he gonna keep the money? Deposit it at Capital One? And I don’t fricking know, it could be more Monopoly money for all I know.

I think the Monopoly money thing still works so long as the authorities find the backpack. I instantly understood what he was trying to say there because I use the metaphor to the warmonger’s down lower on the OT with how they play with the lives of people they don’t truly care about and simply see them as valuable as a used tissue.
I hate your guts.
