There was Monopoly money in his bag found in Central Park. Actual Monopoly money. The guy is not playing with a full deck.

Oh shite. How did I miss that they found his bag.

What else was in there?

Why has this case gotten so much attention?

Is it just because it’s a mystery? Or is there some sort of conspiracy to this story?

People are speculating that he did ayahuasca when living in Hawaii. There are reports that some people's brains get completely permanently rewired after doing ayahuasca.

Some people(ex police) are saying NYPD told them he was probably going to throw the fake money on the dead guy as a message.

This buffoon was actually wearing his mask inside the McDonalds.

Then why didn’t he get rid of the fake ID and the gun? Again, this is a smart guy and was extremely composed during the murder, so why didn’t he do it?

My hypothesis is essentially that just because he didn’t flip out visibly in the video does not mean executed his plan there or probably in several other places. That for 15 seconds he was physically in control but not particularly calm in his head.

I do believe he had both suicide by cop contingencies and escape plans the whole way and once it blew up the way it did he got indecisive and didn’t really execute either plan.

It’s also not terribly uncommon for other mental health issues to crop up in your 20s. Whether drugs, disorder or both… to hit mid 20s and detach completely from friends and family and job for a year and pop up with this…

It just seems like more than just a few compelling books and YouTube videos brings you that far that fast.
