She probably spends thousands of dollars on iTunes rap music, concert tickets, and streaming music profiting black people and then gets canceled for repeating the words she hears in their songs because that’s “racist”

There is zero logic in that

While I completely agree with you, she should be kicked off the team for being a complete dumbass. You have got to be partially brain dead not to realize you can't do that, especially say it while someone is filming you.
Sounds like a great idea, kracka-arse Kracka.

frick the ridiculous double standard

I wish people would grow the frick up and not bitch about everything. Can we revert to the time when people didn't give a frick about this kind of thing? It's just a word and it doesn't hurt anyone's feelings any worse than a random curse word. If she said it truly insultingly at someone with intention to hurt, that's one thing. Otherwise, get over it and move on. If certain people can't say it, then no one should be able to. This shite is stupid and most people don't care. Another case where 1% of the population where SJW types stirred up shite to impact everyone forever forward.

For. Saying. A. fricking. Word.

And most of you have been so conditioned that you think it’s okay.

They actually used to not sell you stuff with parental advisory. You couldn’t rent video games above the recommended age at blockbuster. So generally society was a bit diff.

So that’s why I believe you shouldn’t have a gang of people try to cancel you for saying the word that is in rap songs by prominent artist, especially ones girls listen to. Like lizzo, cardi b, etc.

She said it exactly like a song lyric, giggling, drunk.

She didn’t call anyone a N word. It wasn’t directed at anyone.

That's not really accurate. She was saying it to the person filming the video. I assume the one videoing was white though, so she wasn't "calling a black person the N word," she was simply replying to a friend (maybe even teammate?).

However, the idea that saying one word in a completely innocuous way (or hell, even in an offensive way) can ruin someone's career/life/scholarship/etc. is pretty ridiculous. It's a word. And in this case, it wasn't even being used in an offensive manner at all. It's not inherently racist to say the word (even though I get the stigma surrounding it).

Was she stupid? Of course. But at some point it became completely inexcusable for someone (especially kids) to do something stupid and let them learn a lesson without outrage ruining their lives. This girl didn't harm anyone or kill anyone or steal anything. She literally said a word that is deemed untouchable. And that's fricking ridiculous IMO.

Was it a song lyric? People keep saying she “said it like a song lyric”. But is she singing a song? It didn’t appear like it.

Notice how you’re not even saying the word? Why is that?

Literally all of that is being investigated and people have lost jobs because of it.

Is she kicked out of school or is she no longer on the tennis team? Can you get your lie straight please?

It wasn't a slur.

Dumb, yes, but not a slur.

Does anyone understand context these days? shite

Actually, yes. But I was fortunate enough to have parents with good taste in music which I shared. Rap may be considered "music" by some, but it's pretty low on the totem pole. (Can I say "totem pole" without getting cancelled these days?)

Pathetic on the part of LSU. There was nothing wrong with what she said.

if you’re reading this, call this attorney. If she doesn’t want the case (some lawyers won’t if it’s against LSU), she can refer you to attorneys that will.

Jill Craft, Attorney
(225) 663-2612

Doubt she reads TD but maybe someone that reads TD can get her this info.

Has the cowardly LSU administration made a statement on the Allison Rice situation yet?

LSU is a fricking joke of an institution and I won't be giving them another dime ever.

At the current rate, I will not let any of my future children attend that wretched institution.

Sad to say as I had a great experience there just 10 short years ago.
