Oh man, sad day for the Black Racial Grievance Industry. I have Kleenex for those who need it. It’s white though, so don’t want to trigger you. Your Humble Pimpness only wants you to be happy.

The Illinois Bar commissioned an expensive study on DEI. The conclusions were all "let's have a conversation" type recommendations.

I thought it was odd to have an old white guy from the South talk about DEI. Apparently, I hit a nerve because the ratings for my presentation were really high.

I talked about the oil field truck drivers in our area. They started out all male (mostly white) but have evolved into a very diverse workforce, with a surprising number of black females driving the trucks. I pointed out that this had to do with economics and actual optics (female 1 seems female 2 fueling up her truck and decides "that might be a job for me). We have a number of women owned small trucking companies too.

Interesting that Illinois DEI concerned itself with women. In the South, it seems strictly racial.

In a prior job, I got to deal with some politicians, and most tended to be absolute mouth breathers that recited lines for the camera and absolutely turned off as soon as said camera was gone.

... or maybe this is their method of not being obstructionists?

Politics is a game of chess not often understood by those not sitting at the table.

I don't think is a chess level move. Definitely a "no comment" action. They don't want to appear in support of the resolution, but they also don't want to act against Landry.

Nothing like reinforcing stereotypes.

Typical and sad.

It's called containment. They need white American males to continue paying taxes, building things, and fighting wars.

This alone makes it good to have someone like Landry as governor. At least LSU won’t hate whites.

Disagree with this, the whole point of doing it is to take a victory lap and get a pat on the back from other braindead liberals. Doing it subtly and hiring less qualified people without the social media likes would be total insanity.

It’ll be a good day when Collins Temple is no longer associated with this university. Some community “leaders” cannot move on and relinquish their power. He was a trailblazer at LSU and I admire him for that, however, his time has passed.

I know him. I like him. But I've seen him take advantage of situations many times. More than a few of our tax dollars have found their way into his bank account.

Why not? Aren't they all JBE appointees that will be done when their term expires?

The LSU Board of Supervisors passed a resolution Thursday to eliminate some diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs in its university system.

Anyone know how many on the Board that now reject DEI supported it previously?
