Read the post above yours. That bus line ain't for students and alumni nor undesirables.

50 million dollars for a bus line for LSU’s janitors and cafeteria workers is what you’re telling this is?

How does driving a bus from Plank Rd to LSU cost $40-50 million?

The real loser here is downtown and the Nicholson corridor. They were trying to connect those areas for LSU students and for gamedays and no students or LSU fans will ever ride a shitty city bus.

I had high hopes for the Nicholson corridor area for a while. Not so much anymore. Broome continues to cater to the NBR crowd, although in her defense, she did initially support the tram.

That's what I can't wrap my head around.

The tram was much more expensive but a much better idea for the long term. With the tram you don’t have the stigma of a bus so you would get much more riders and it went from just LSU to downtown. Plus you could have done a connection with mid city(up and coming area) and eventually NBR. (If they ever got their shite together)

The real answer is it give the thousands of low-wage workers that support LSU on and off campus with food and services a means to get to and from the area without having to live right north of campus or in Gardere to find affordable housing.

This is a good thing but doesn't look like it on the surface to us alumni and students.

Gotta look at big picture.

why does a "bus route" cost 50 million dollars? why does it cost 1 million dollars?

I have a feeling 99% of this budget is not going anywhere near this “project”

More importantly, it gives those of us who want to go into Plank Road for an afternoon of shopping and dinner, a cheap alternative.

It is so damn laughable that I don’t even know where to start. Let’s connect one of the worst parts of BR to one of the best parts through a low cost transportation system. Brilliant

I doubt there are thousands of workers at LSU that live off of Plank. Maybe a few hundred. It would be cheaper to just get them all a prepaid Uber card of some sort

There was a time when things actually seemed like they would improve in BR, but y'all found a way to let things devolve. BR will be the next Jackson
