I have Graves disease (thyroid) which affects your vision and I have some optic nerve damage. When color vision is affected, red is usually the first to start to go. I noticed in the last few weeks that LSU purple has turned to LSU blue, which sucks. It has probably been a gradual change, but the brain knows it is purple and apparently processes it as purple(at least for a while mine did).

When your brain changes purple to Crimson and gold to white, you will be cured.

no... that's the day I tell the good Lord above that I'm comin' to see him whether he likes it or not

and for the longest time, the other LSUs (at least both Shreveport and Alexandria) were blue and gold until LSU did the whole OneLSU thing... then they also became purple

That sucks. My focusing is going, but I'm over 40 and that's a normal part of aging. As frustrating as that is, I can't image going color blind.

Is Graves disease more common among Asians?

LSU's shade of purple over time actually did change to almost a shade of blue.

I don't know why they did that, but it's not JUST your eyes. They really did change to a more blue-ish shade of purple.

Here is an example of the new shade of "purple". Looks blue:

Old color is actually purple:

I was at the away WVU game visiting tailgates there with a NCAA-licensed LSU hat on.

It was pointed out to me by a couple of WVU fans that their colors exactly matched the colors on my hat.

I threw up a little.

I got better, TM7 rolled that night.

actually, I noticed sometime this year that our purple looked a lot more blue to me than in the past. I think there has been some tinkering with the colors of a lot of LSU mdse.

LSU has two official colors patterns

quote:

Brand Colors

The colors listed below are the official colors for LSU and are the only colors in which the LSU logo may appear.

quote:

Corporate Colors

The purpose of the LSU corporate color palette is to accommodate a need across campus to achieve a less athletic look that is still compliant with the LSU brand. These colors may be used as background or accent colors for print, web or collateral pieces developed for your unit. The corporate colors should never be used in any of the LSU logos as a replacement for the official LSU Purple and LSU Gold listed above.

the corporate colors are a darker purple and gold than the brand colors.

I beg to differ Marco. That brain malfunction only creates a desire to teabag someone who is helpless and also to yank some teeth and have sex with a relative!

Purple is a feminine homo color so it's better that you can't see it

The purple seems to have gradually become more blue over the years.

I don't know why they drifted to that blue, the purple looks much better.

I'll probably get blasted for this, but I prefer the blue-er purple.
