To be clear, I think most people's hearts are in the right place, but totalitarianism always appears from beautiful ideas. Democracy's survival is based on the ability of citizens to freely decide what they think and say on their own, and we must be confident in the strength of our ideas to believe they will prevail in an open hearing in the court of public opinion.
That doesn't make me a republican or a trump supporter, it's perfectly reasonable to recognize the many long standing inequalities that exist in our society without acquiescing to the new religion of the far left that seeks to squelch all who oppose it.

It's been an eye opening week. There has been a current of this that's been going on for awhile but has been, for the most part, easy enough to dismiss or ignore as it has only popped up in a meaningful way here and there in spurts, at least from my perspective.
It's now a daily occurrence. "Abolish the police" gaining real traction was the last straw for me.

She probably will still drop/fail the student who , if not for his/her "hate speech" and this teacher's judgment/retaliation, would have come up with cure for cancer. Well, the world needs ditch diggers too.

Problem is a lot of voters think voting 3rd party is throwing away your vote. But if so many have that mentality, then of course it’ll be a wasted vote.

I don't think you'll likely ever be a conservative Republican but surely rational people can see that a large part of the left is completely unhinged. This is what's running the party now too.
