Regarding Professor Johnson deleting her tweet and then her Twitter account, I replied to her original "I'm making a list" tweet this morning right after this thread showed up.
I'm going to take credit for her deleting that post and her account.
In my reply to her, I compared her list of names to name lists the government of the People's Republic of China makes when their citizens say something the government doesn't like.

I don't think this is really true. I think has existed mostly on the fringe and some college campuses and was held up by right wing media as a strawman to attack any and all democrats with. You would not have seen a acceptance of abolishing the police even a few week ago.
But today, and maybe for the recent past, it is moving out of that and into more mainstream quarters.

TD has the high ground here. What happens if you allow this to occur and in November some professor says they'll scour social media and fail all Trump supporters, 2A supporters, people who deny climate change etc? It's a very slippery slope.

Is it illegal/against twitter policy to create a spoof account of a random person. Say....a professor or similar person?
