So they don't have anything going on at the frat houses before the games? When I was in school people threw Frisbees on the parade grounds because it was never that crowded. That was 40 years ago though and probably the last time I went that way was to the TigerDroppings tailgate that KajunGee and TreeDawg cooked at. What year was that?

I've been at our usual spot on The Parade Ground for 16 years. I was looking through old pics a few months ago. The tailgate density on the PG from 2006-2007 increased exponentially. Probably a combination of team success with a change in fraternities moving away from hosting parties at their fraternity houses.

It's really crazy to see the difference in a single year.(even before we actually won the bcs that year).

Somebody upthread said they aren't allowed to have parties at their houses. IDK if that's true. We never tailgated anywhere but at the house.

The welder baw will be your typical field hand by the time he's 30. Half his paycheck will go to child support while the other half will go to paying off this frat shite's medical bills. He'll still have his black Dodge, a couple more tattoos, a cooler full of Mic Ultra, and trying to scrape together some overtime cash to go on Spring Break.

I remember guys like Cast Guy back when I was in college. They'd act bad and intimidate people. Most guys would back up and let them have their fun, especially if they were drinking. You ignore most of it.

But, I'll tell you this. If Cast Guy had taken a swing at someone not fighting him and laid him about, he'd be immediately attacked by about 10 guys who'd bring him down and subdue him. Neither in high school nor college would I have hung out with guys who'd have let that go and backed up.

You might not look for a fight or start one, but you certainly don't let someone come in and just start attacking people without going after him in en masse.

What's wrong with people? You can't let that stand.

Problem is I'm sure LSU isn't too far off from selling off spots on the parade ground for tailgating, then we all lose.

I know for a fact this is their ultimate goal. Have been told so by someone that sat in the meeting with the University and Athletic Department. Furthermore, the statement was made that they view tailgates full of people that don't go to the stadium as "lost revenue." They would like to figure out a way to charge everyone that comes on campus.

I remember that unless they tailgated on the PG more than once. I walked up to a guy who had a Tigerdroppings shirt on to tell him what a fan I was of the site.
And he points to another dude setting up some tailgate stuff and say's "That's Chicken."

was that ~05.

Well that makes sense considering most of the 'new' tailgates on the grassy area of the PG are Greek.
Short walk and plenty of real estate.

We have tons of kids at ours and don't mind since the Greeks are generally well-behaved with the music and debauchery.
It's good for people watchin and making typical 'get of my lawn' comments while checking out their sorority dates.

Frat life 1987-1991:

If cast douche was squared off against someone, they were allowed to go at it until it was over. If he'd struck someone trying to make peace, his arse would have been morphed into a pile of bloody hamburger meat by the masses.

On another note, there HAS to be footage of cast douche getting knocked out. I've only seen the one of him already out.

seems that any sense of duty to have a fair fight is nonexistent.

When has a "fair" fight ever been a duty in some drunken brawl?

The school created a pretty good example for regulations causing unintended consequences. The Greek life people made a rule that all party's at LSU most have an outside vendor and security. Basically making it against the rules to have true tailgate party st the house. People still drink at the houses but it's more just members watching gameday before going out.

Most frats would rather have A/c, private bathrooms, tailgate on the lawn and what not.
Since they can't, the school has forced everyone to go in one place and now you have couple thousand drunk assholes in one spot
