I was there only 15 years ago, but the Tigerland thread got me thinking about places that have since closed near or around LSU. These places were some of my favorite establishments that have since closed-
1) Inga’s Subs & Salads— Went here several times/week for lunch when I worked on campus. The owner was always there and it was quick service and dependably good food. I always got her grilled chicken salad. I liked the way they had hot grilled vegetables on it.
2) Roul’s—Juicy, Juicy!! Only really ate here after late nights out when I lived at the Venue. But the burgers were really good. And Roul was nuts.
3) Roux House— I always enjoyed this bar as a young adult. I couldn’t get in until I was a senior, but it really beat Tigerland in my book. I wasn’t much for the bar scene around LSU. She who will not be named got me to go to Fred’s more than I would have liked, but those places were not my scene. I liked Roux House for the outdoor patio and mostly easy atmosphere.
4) Louie’s—is it still open? I recall driving past the original building and it being gone. Either way—the Loaded hash browns were THE hangover cure.
5) Wine Loft—this was my jam senior year. I preferred quieter, more laid back places like this. Didn’t they open another one in Perkins Rowe, and did the both end up closing? What was the story here? Thought they did pretty well.

I’m sure I could come up with more, but I’ll stop there for now. What else?

Forgot about Chelsea’s. Them too. And Spanish moon was fun.

What about the Texas club and wasn’t there a bar called AAA?

Inga’s is gone now? I ate there the last time I was in town last August.

I misgendered one of the workers

Oh, and $1 burgers at Brightside

Ichabod’s on Chimes was my favorite pregaming bar. Dollar mystery shots, listen to bands on the patio, then head to The Caterie or Varsity. Fun times.

Yes, fa sho'. A lot of BTR media, political and other business operations would come to a grinding halt should Louie's close.

I ate at Inga's on Brightside Wednesday. The steak sandwich is so good there. Not sure if other location is still open.

When did Ingas on Brightside close? Louie’s moved to the Wendy’s location several years ago.
