Anything marked as "free food" at LSU is something anyone with pride wants to avoid.

No.

College is suppose to reflect real life, when it's crunch time at work do you think your boss is going to call a time out, break out some snacks, maybe pull out some coloring books?

You want to do volunteer work at an animal shelter, amazing! But you're an adult now, you need to be able to work through stress. Better to learn in college than to try and learn in the work force.

College has never reflected real life.

You go study and hit up Christ The King for lunch dinner. Primo study spots, and 10 pm mass.

That is incredible. All we had back in the day were tables, some desks, and the hardest chairs in the world.

You don’t think people in the work force, in times of stress, do things to clear their head? Business people don’t take off to go golfing during the day, go to the gym, go for a walk, go home at lunch time to see their SO, etc?

People who know how to effectively manage stress typically know when they need to take a load off to avoid burning out and what activities they can use to stay sharp.

Also, college has never once reflected real life. College is college. It reflects college, nothing else. One’s ability to do well in college has little baring on their ability to succeed in the workforce.

they're not therapy dogs, and that's exactly what they do .

This would be distracting as hell if I was trying to study.

Relaxation rooms are legit.

Especially if you have a study buddy.

Yeah! How dare LSU actually use some of its money to do something that will make students happy!

Back in my day, we studied for finals and our break consisted of the librarians beating us with a stick for taking a break!

People who get irritated by something as little as this are just laughable.

When Fieldon King Alexander next goes to the legislature begging for money, they should punch him in the dick, then bring this up, plus all his other wasteful ways.

They can then give him 20 minutes to redo his requests and dare him to get it wrong again.

Daughter sent me pics of Newfie and Berner in the library. Really neat dogs, and a good project.

None of this was there when I was living in the library. I did go get the free food at the church though

Dude, it's like $100 worth of chips and cheap store brand cookies and the dogs are shelter dogs being brought by volunteers (i.e. free).

We have a dean of diversity who supervises an entire diversity department. The dean makes over $200k. We've got bigger wasteful things than a few snacks and a day for kids to play with poor dogs about to be euthanized if they're not adopted soon.

One year I was in Middleton at the exact time some group started handing out free scantrons and I was able to get two free scantrons and I was thrilled.
