LSU, under this current leadership, can effectively go frick itself. They've already called me and sent me the email. I'm not giving another penny to my alma mater as long as F. King is in charge. He's a weak, pandering piece of shite that never should've been chosen to lead this system. Then they launch this campaign less than 2 week after scandal after scandal drops about LSU mismanaging the shite out of it's money. Nah, I'm good.

Good point. Spending roughly the same on Academics as athletics is nearly as bad as spending 4 times on athletics compared to the health science center

Athletics works as advertisement for the university. Enrollment goes up at schools the year after they win national championships.

The Health Sciences get lots of funding from national grants, they're run differently

I've read the article and looked at the website, and still have no idea how this is going to unite the campuses, what that means, or how that is anyway a benefit...I'm so tired of F king's shite

I think most of the "athletics" portion of this campaign is the expected revenue being generated while the campaign is actie. It's a way for the campus admin to claim stupid lofty goals like raising $1.5B

Is this just a marketing slogan, with no substance behind it. I'm very confused.

I dont give much back, but I am a member of the alumni association that has been toying with the idea of discontinuing my contribution. This right here does it. I'm cancelling my membership/contribution and writing my letter as to why today. Garbage like this and the recent money mismanagement scandle will be at the center of it.

Yeap because nothing says "frick you Alma Mater" like canceling your donations because of the theft of thousands of dollars within a university operating on a $1B budget.

I also love people excoriating LSU for the $600M in athletics saying their priorities are astray but then basing their decision not to support the fundraising efforts because of Athletics personel decisions...

You freaking inflammed twats are what's wrong with Louisiana

Same. LSU isn’t getting a penny from me until they clean house.
