I guess they can present themselves as such, but LSU is determined to frick them so it would only cause more harm.
It's only applicable to fraternities as far as I know.

At some point, freedom of association kicks in. You may not be able to hold an organized function, but you really can't tell people they can't freely congregate.

I agree that LSU has it out for them, but all they needed to do was clean up their stuff on the Parade Ground and chill out on the fights.
The Gruver death was the nail in the coffin, though.

good to see the university doing all it can to run off the people who tailgate and go to at least the first half of the game. By the time they regulate the tailgates- both students and non-students- it'll be a wonder if anyone even bothers with the effort to participate at all.

LSU was determined to end Greek Life. Gruver gave them that excuse.
