I bet you Mr Temple would not support closing down Southern now that LSU is adding a AA degree. We could use the money to replace Rouses money and the cost so a friggin AA department.

We should shut it down and SUNO and let any students there go to LSU if they see the admissions standard.

What is right about the state supporting a "BLACK" university in this day and age??

Lets close it and make things equal---you can all go to LSU if you can pass admissions and if not you can go to any of the other schools in the state/

This makes you sound like the kind of person who says "I'm not racist" at least once a day.

The Temples suck. Rouse’s as a store isn’t much better, but I support Rouse’s.

I honestly don’t have any negative experiences with Rouses and for 5 years it was the most convenient place for me to shop. Honestly, it seems like a waste of money for them to sponsor LSU anyway. I’m sure they enjoyed some benefits they enjoyed but overall it won’t hurt their business.

It's time to take the bullshite out of the LSU Board of Supervisors. It's no place for politics.

That’s all it is. If only they would appoint people that made decisions based on what’s best for LSU.

What, increased sales? They have stores in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, not New York, Massachusetts and Cali.

Rouses has frick You money. And gobs of it. If you think this bothers them in any way shape or form then you're in for a big surprise. A biiiggggg surprise.

The only "consequences" he faced was having to put out a statement denouncing the violence, which I would say most all of us (white, male conservatives) do. Business ain't about to slow down and if you've been reading this thread, it might even be picking up.

The only benefit I can think of is a suite and on field passes to use to bring vendors.

Rouses has a trump card in this fight. If all the Title 9 stuff turns out to be true they should come out and say they are pulling their support because the institution/administration didn’t protect their students from sexual violence...*all allegedly at this point* but they along with the other official sponsors should hold LSU accountable if that is all true.

The university needs to look into severing ties with Temple. His intolerance of a citizen’s right to lawfully and peacefully protest reflects poorly on the university.

It’s the perfect time for him to show his true colors. Let him tarnish whatever legacy he has left.

Warning: cool story bro below

Years ago I met his daughter at the Hard Rock in Biloxi. When I heard her last name I asked her to buy me a drink because she was rich. She surprisingly obliged and bought me drinks all night. I was so close to being in the Rouses family, this could've been me.

This and similar stuff going on across the country is coordinated and isn’t happening because the elites really think Trump or peaceful supporters caused anything as Democrats have been supporting insurrections since Trump won in 2016 both implicitly and explicitly (Pelosi would have to impeach herself for basically supporting calling violence in 2018 over illegal immigration policy of Trump).

Its because they now have unchecked power for at least 2 years.

During Supreme Court hearings for Kavanaugh Lindsey Graham told the truth when he said it was about power and god forbid if they get it. Well they got it and immediately started showing it. After basically winning Senate nothing can be done by Trump executive orders or other departments headed by political appointees that can’t be easily reversed. It was always going to happen and just needed something to blame it on and be narrative as they have ignored or supported similar acts for years and can’t have that pointed out in equal objective setting.

They are now pushing this cancelling and vilifying anything connected to Trump to also put pressure on judges appointed by Trump that they either bend the knee or they will alway be pushed as illegitimate and scorned across medias as anti-American and Nazi Trump judges and reason for Democratic packing of courts.

These are all part of their play during first 2 years to increase their power, pass controversial liberal laws giving a lot of presidential power to execute them over Biden’s term, Obama’s pen and phone strategy, and creating agencies with a lot of power and little congressional oversight to an extent Republicans winning one or both houses won’t matter to stop what happens in these next 2 years.

It’s not over for freedom, but this is just the start of the massive Democratic power grab in govt and transferring money to industries that support them with stimulus and the cancelling of those that think different from them. Any moderate who thinks they will not come for them when it suits them is completely naive. It’s not just about not needing govt as they have shown ability to cancel people’s small business and get others fired and get kids cancelled. It’s also not about being good or not being racist as it’s about their anti-racism and what they define as acceptable actions toward this that must be followed or else. It’s going to be more of the Chicago politics than even Obama used to attempt to make sure 2016 never happens again.

Have to first live, work, pray, and focus on and love our family, friends, and god first not losing any focus on what really matters, but also start paying better attention to elections at all levels including DAs and help elect people who aren’t afraid to stand up to elites and establishment in DC. Must support those that the Democrats cancel especially over those doing or pushing the cancelling. I am not talking about being a leftist and not spending money somewhere only because of political differences, but if someone has been cancelled i will try to spend money there when i can and will stop (immediately for some and start working on alternatives for others) spending money at businesses that have cancelled or censored people or businesses that are owned or run by people who have actively pushed to cancel or censor people. Again Some will be easier and quicker than others, but i will find ways to not support any businesses or schools that push these leftist politics of do what we say or else.

Black people seem to have issues. They should see someone to resolve them. Otherwise. STFU

I had to take African American studies to graduate from Xavier University.

I can tell you that personally, I learned a lot. I also learned that most in my class had 0 interesting in learning it.
