There is no "this" there.

One board member, Collis Temple, Jr., spoke on a point of personal privilege about Rouses at the end of Friday's Board meeting and no other member spoke in support of Temple. The Chairman basically said, "GFY" to Temple and adjourned the meeting.

No action was taken by the Board of Supervisors regarding Rouses affiliation with LSU.

I would be willing to bet they will continue to hear from Temple and those with similar views. Thinking voicing support/opposition is not needed in this age due to viewing “take that to heart and act accordingly” as GFY is naive. What they hear now is what they will choose to do next time.

Go for it LSU. Watch your funding get cut in 1/2.

I hate to say it, but budgetary pressure is the only thing to which the LSU administration will pay attention. If there were a Republican governor in place, the governor could take steps to stop the university from its "anti-racism" stance and from practicing racial discrimination in faculty hiring, admissions, etc. Without a Republican governor to take strong executive action, it is up to the legislature to use its budgetary authority to force LSU to move away from its discriminatory practices and policies. It is crucial for those interested in a fair, impartial, and race-neutral LSU to contact your state legislators and demand that LSU be forced to change its ways.

Collis temple the member of the LSU BOS is a complete arse clown. The BOS should worry more about how it looks having him as a member of the BOS than a sponsorship with a Louisiana based family owned company. Collis is a puppet for Jim Bernhard. The governor appointed Bernhard but he declined due to his company bidding a large contract with LSU, but appointed his “black puppet” that he knew no one would go against. Not to mention the USA Today stories regarding drake Davis and Bernhard influencing of situations surrounding LSU football, title 9 etc that they should be more worried about that. Collis is shady in both his personal life and business dealings ( group homes that kids roam neighborhoods and steal from residents, doesn’t pay his bills, fails to carry insurance on his construction co etc). I can’t believe no one has come out and exposed him for what he is, but I guess he will just use the race card like he has his entire life. The guy has managed to make a living off his skin color and riding coat tails. He is just stirring the pot as he is directed.

Don’t judge him by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character.

Yes I would considering he's in Louisiana.

So no businessman/businesswoman can display any kind of political support without threat of boycott or violence? Not a world I want to live in.
