No. I’ve dealt with their administration in a professional (not academic) setting many times. I actually told my kids I wouldn’t pay for their tuition if they went there. BR locals though, so they all wanted a change of scenery.
Love the athletics, largely despise the people involved with the university.

In what way
Few reasons. No endowment. Alumni has given up on it. Tate is a shite president. I can’t confirm but have heard most chairs and deans, as they age out and move on, are bring replaced with complete dogshit.

I'd be paying out of state tuition (unless I could bypass using my parents, not sure how it works). Is the pride worth it?
No. Unless you're counting on Biden bucks forgiveness, go to the cheapest school you can that will get you the degree you need.

Not to change the subject but what can we do to protest LSU going woke? Seems like everyone just whines about it on here but there's no action.

It’s as good as any anti American Ivy League school. Serious. No difference except expense. Sure wall st might dawn over the ivy leaguers but it’s all a scam. A big money scam.

Agreed. Nobody gives a crap where you went to school outside of a few exceptions. I have a Tulane grad that reports to me and an A&M grad did for 5-6 years.

Wife, daughter and I have LSU degrees.
I think Masters degree in Accountancy falls outside of the following opinion so take it for what it’s worth.
All agree our son will not go to LSU. While the best of the best at LSU are of high quality, there are far too many undergraduate students there that are sub par on multiple levels, and too many are doing the minimum. First hand and fresh experience speaking here.

Advice welcome. I expect very little good to come from this.
The vast majority of this board believes LSU has gone completely woke because of William Tate and their sons and daughters will never step foot on the LSU campus. The vast majority of this board was also done with the NFL, NBA, City of New Orleans, etc… You have to weed through a lot of crap here for any true advice.
My personal opinion is that while I’m not happy with Baton Rouge, I think LSU is a very good institution. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a degree.

Once you gain enough experience in your field, nobody gives a shite about where you went to college.

I think schools like MIT give you an advantage. Nobody cares that you went to Florida vs Ole Miss. The smartest software developer I've ever worked with dropped out of college and never finished.

Went for law school and enjoyed it. Parking was really my only complaint, and we had our own lot.
