WAFB story

Wow, I guess we can all sleep in peace now, knowing a poker club was such a threat to the community. State police probably got butt hurt that it's not getting cut. To rub the salt in the wound, reporter also said these places are spreading all over the country. Louisiana behind the trend again.

There are a ton in DFW. Unless there are drugs, prostitution, or violence, the cops just don't care. Some even play on their downtime. Who wants to drive an 1 to 2 hrs north to Oklahoma just to play poker because the casinos dump so much money to politicians to keep it illegal here?

Exactly, that's my point. Just a bunch of people minding their own business. I mean how far is the closest poker room from here?

Ok...so the state legalized gambling and put the state police in charge of regulating and licensing gambling establishments.

So someone started an illegal gambling establishment...what is the state police supposed to do?

State Police has a whole department that over sees gambling in the state...do you not want it to do its job?

Excuse me, but according to their mission statement, they seek to “ensure the safety and security of the people in the state through enforcement”. Speaking of doing its job, how about doing this first? I hear north BR is pretty wild.

Thank god the State Police cleaned up this blight on society because there hasn't been a shooting or murder in East Baton Rouge since this raid took place.

Lock these people up and give them the death penalty for engaging in this sordid activity. Nothing is worse in society than that of a Gambler.

I’d never play at an unregulated place like that, way too much potential for cheating and shady shite.
