Gotcha. I've always noticed your NOPD posts to be very informative, makes sense.

I think NOPD is right at 50k after one year (so that includes the $6000 state supplement).

I'm surprised this guy stole a car in lakeview, steal some other plates, and just drive it around the city for months and months like it's no issue.

Hopefully things will turn around after Mitch is gone.

Yea. You get on with that state or a large city and after the academy and a year or so you are making a solid above average income. Most parish and small cities is next to nothing.

There's a big opportunity for someone to come in and restore order, building a legacy. Or it could go the other way and LaToya or whoever could hurry up the destruction.

These daily crime in Nola threads are getting old, imo. No one wants to talk about the daily crime in any other large metro areas?

Is this because of muh statues?

I mean, the driver is clearly to blame most, second to whoever failed to properly restrain the child, then third the police.

Chases are not safe, and had they known there was a child they may not have chased them. They admitted not knowing who was inside the vehicle.
They kill thousands every year. Lots of innocent people die because of police chases, I think they simply are not worth it the vast majority of the time

ETA: I mean high-speed police chases. Especially through neighborhoods.

It's because Mitch decided the statues were a bigger threat than culcha

So the money spent on taking down statues was better spent than spending it on fighting crime?

Hell, he even pissed away the $40 million given to him by the feds.

You mean, the largest city in the state exploding with crime is news worthy ? Shocker

I won't say that. I just find it hilarious that the people that were up in arms about the removal of the statue have become those same complaining "snowflakes" that they can't stand.

The hilarious part is that Mitch doesn't have the balls to go after Jackson who, by using SJW metrics, is far worse than any other person that was removed.

He was just rounding up everything he needed to start at the university in the fall
