You must be pretty small.
I don't ever advise less than 12cal per pound.
You don't want to just lose weight, you want to lose fat....right?

Are you going to be working out as well with this?
You will have much better results...plus all of the huge health benefits from exercise.

Yes, I'm 4'8". Far from "fat", but like most women, it is it all in my abdominal area. I've gone from a size 00 to a size 2-3. For my height, that isn't stick skinny like a size 2 who is tall. I have a beach trip in 6 weeks, so I'm doing the 1000-calorie prepared meal service this local woman offers for the next 6 weeks. After that, will simply switch to watching my portion sizes and avoiding bad carbs. I can't give up alcohol entirely, so 1000 calories is the only way I have a chance
I do agree with you that 1000 is low though. I had to watch a video that the founder of this meal program made before purchasing the plan, and she was pretty harsh. She doesn't up the calories for bigger women nor does she up them for more active women... which I find odd. But she does say that after your first couple weeks, you can start having snacks of your own between meals.

1000 calories cannot be healthy at all for someone that is active

You always told me to wait until I'm 25. Well darnit, you were right.
I can pinpoint the issue. 2 years ago: Sleep until noon or so (so breakfast skipped), lie around until I have to get ready for work (so lunch is skipped), eat something before work around 4pm, work a 5-hour shift on my feet where I'm burning calories, eat something after work.
I was eating shitty, but moving around and sleeping late enough to skip meals.
Now, I wake up early and sit at a desk. No moving around and constantly hungry. I do a walk/job combo when I leave work early, but on days I don't, I have zero motivation. But I am trying to take Lucy on walks/jogs to motivate myself.

I am short and fat so I would have to go way less than 12 calories per pound to lose.

You are still so young though. I'm telling ya.....make exercise a part of your life NOW. You will be sooooo thankful you did once you are my age.
I didn't start actually exercising until I was like 28-29. It was never part of my life. I'm paying for it now.

im no expert. But i have been working out and eating healthy a couple years. I have read all kinds of shite on fitness and health and dieting.
With that said, 1000cals a day you are doing more damage than good. You are destroying your metabolism, you can not live forever on 1000 calories and be healthy. You need at least 1500, just work out more. Do cardio, add weights, make better choices. But at 1000 cals you are going to keep that belly fat because your body is in starvation mode and storing all the fat it can to survive.

warning because i am going through it again
you will have massive headaches and migraines from the cut and lack of energy, but it does work when properly mixed with exercise but even low carb alone works but exercise always accelerates the results

>that's because you never stop. it's a lifestyle. it's a hungry lifestyle.
>just watch your macros y'all. only thing that's important is macros. calories in - calories out = simple.
>but wut dem carbs do?
>oh yea and carbs too. very important. check out this chart. you wanna be where the spear guy is.
>only eat carbs early and burn then off during the day. srs.
>well i eat 100g carbs mostly before bed and sleep like a baby. lost 40lbs so far and never felt better.
>y'all i wish chicken would make a board so can sticky all this solid advice we just nailed down.

I think she markets the program as a "quick" thing. The website is shite, so the only info I have to go on is her video, but she was speaking in a way that made me think she doesn't expect people to do it long term. And realistically, no one will. A pre-made meal service probably appeals to very few people long term... as it takes out the freedom of cooking, dining out, etc. She talked a lot about introducing green vegetables and low calorie snacks after a couple weeks, so I don't think she expects people to do 1000 calories for life or anything.
A few weeks of 1000 calories isn't long enough to ruin you. But yes, long term I feel like it would be pretty unhealthy.
FWIW, this is the plan for women. The one for men is 1300-1500.

yes short term isnt that unhealthy, but why would you wana do something short term? And then gain weighy right back? i underdtand 1000 cals is for the women, thats still extremely low. Will you lose weight? Absolutely.. but gain right back because you cany substain that diet. Why do that when there are so many better options out there where you are not starving and where you can keep the fat off. Im not preaching to ya, just making suggestions.

a while back i was on low calories like she is talking about and learned it was not long term. i was eating 1200 a day and it wasnt working. I learned from my mistakes i made and trying to pass it on.

Why do that
Because the beach is in 6 weeks. Ain't nobody got time to wait.
Realistically, I am a tiny girl. I want to lose my little beer gut so I'm not embarrassed in my bikini and so I fit into my closet of XS clothing comfortably. I'm not some overweight person trying to crash diet and lose 60lbs. I've been watching what I eat over the past few months and doing okay at it. I've gone from pastas and sandwiches and whatnot to cooking fish and vegetables and chicken dishes. But because I am not willing to give up alcohol, switching to eating healthier meals will take FOREVER. So I'd rather move around more and do this program until my trip.. and then cancel the program and continue cooking healthier meals once I return from my trip.
This 15-pound weight gain (went from 95-100 to 110-115)took me five years to gain.. drinking beer every day and eating complete crap (I worked in a fried seafood restaurant for 3 years). If I can manage to get it off, I can't imagine it'll magically reappear just because I get off the 1000-calorie plan and go back to my ~1500 calorie diet.

Those of you who are on a low or no carb diet and train with weights, how do you do it? I don't count carbs, but I do limit them to a degree. I can have a low carb day and be 2000+ calories deep by 4 pm when I head to the gym. If it's a dead lift or a squat day, I get dizzy and have to fight to not pass out. If I load up on carbs on these days, I have a much more productive work out. Where does your stamina come from if ur at a carb deficit?
I can imagine that being a problem if you part time low carb. I've been very low carb long anad consistent enough that my body is keto-adapted, so as long as my hydration and electrolytes are good, I can make it through my workouts. But a hard set of squats or deads can cause anyone to get lightheaded if you pushing yourself.
