Vermont. I'm originally from up north so I don't mind the cold. I can deal with the politics, but when I visited it was absolutely beautiful. Trying to convince my wife that it should be our retirement plan.

I know it’s a reasonably priced seaside town with a nice downtown and good demographics.

Close to Biloxi which can be iffy but I figured if I can handle BR, I can handle whatever wafts over periodically

We look forward to our annual LSU football road trip. Just not one that will be played in Baton Rouge.

Might sound crazy to some of you, but with my job I got to spend some time in Southern Indiana and North Central Kentucky. The area along the Ohio River around Owenhoro and Evansville. It's beautiful country, pretty hilly, affordable, mostly low crime, and appealing demographics. A lot of nice small towns.

I'd RATHER live in rural Colorado far away from people. Unfortunately, all my roots are here, my gf's family, my children and grandchildren. I have worked Industrial Construction for over 30 years, not much industry over there and probably couldn't make good money.

If I can stay clear of this cancer bs for six more months I'm out, and eastern Wyoming/western Nebraska is my destination.

Houston has a worse climate and worse traffic but is the closest to drive back to Louisiana.

I would move almost anywhere. When my wife graduated, I told her I was willing to move anywhere that doesn't suck. Places that come to mind: Montana, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida, California north of San Francisco, northern Virginia, northwest Arkansas. Potentially the New England area, but I haven't gone farther north than New York, so I don't really know for sure. I could also move somewhere like Fairhope, but that's probably the only spot I'd move to in Alabama.

I lived in that area for 3 years. Tell City, Boonville, Newburgh, Santa Claus and even Jasper (off the river but close to a lake) are great towns.

I live in Texas for 30 years, and I would move back to Louisiana in a heart beat. Sure do miss it.

Eastern Texas or the Florida panhandle are realistic between taxes and climate.

North Carolina is somewhere I would consider if I were willing to deal with snow and income taxes.
