Same for Lafayette. We are wide open. It seems that New Orleans and Baton Rouge are still lagging way behind with bars and restaurants opening up. I wonder why that is?

Someone please explain to me why the governor would want you to wear a mask other than to stop the spread of covid?

If anything they want you maskless so they can utilize their fancy facial recognition technology.

The mask isnt to stop the spread....it's to protect granny from catching it.

The only reason that restaurants and bars aren't open is that the owners don't want to operate or can't find staff. New Orleans is open except for indoor music venues.

Bars and restaurants are free to open in nola...a lot of them are choosing not to until they can open at 100%

All the restaurants I've visited recently in Baton Rouge have been for the most part completely full

Went to Mike Anderson’s Saturday night and they were completely packed. Over an hour wait for a two top. We luckily scored a couple of bar stools not long after we got there. On my way out after we ate I stopped by the person at the front door and told her we had already eaten and she could take my name off of the waiting list

Based on what I have experienced, very few restaurants are following the guidelines for capacity. I don’t care...just an observation.

Facial recognition is so 1990s....

We carry real time gps tracking devices with us 24/7 willingly. Why tf would governments waste their time with stringing together hundreds of thousands of camera devices when they. An simply track your every move via your smart phone/watch?

I’ve pointed this out to you before, yet here you are still prattling on about muh facial recognition like a wannabe Bond villain.

What statistical evidence do you have that proves selectively shutting down some businesses and mask mandates works against a virus?

What alternative motive does the mostly left leaning politicians have for the mask mandate? Easy: control and fear.

Honestly, I thought the mandates would go away after the election. It was clear that the mask mandates were used as a reminder to voters that something had changed and it was for the worst. Voters vote with their pocket books 99% of the time and the left needed something to remind them that something else was wrong.

It’s also clear that the shutdowns were more draconian in left leaning states. Why? Well, come to find out that the second stimulus is portioned out by unemployment rate and not per capita. So, those states that crushed their own economies will get more money than those that didn’t. This, of course, creates more gov’t dependency in those areas which presumably creates more big gov’t voters.

Our reaction to this virus is totally unprecedented in the history of mankind. Why? None of the measures taken have ever worked ever. They used the natural fear of an unknown virus for political purposes and it worked. Just like they used 9/11 and the fear of terrorism to take away our rights.

And outdoor horse racing

But that’s probably CDI. As long as they have the slots running they don’t give a shite about the racing.
