Landry will be re-elected, perhaps easily.

I’ll wait on a challenger who can raise $8M+.

I’m a “Laffy poster”, but was proudly Team Schroder. Also liked Hewitt and Nelson better.

I liked Hewitt too but I voted for Waguespack

The fact that Landry got 52% of the votes shows you how dumb the voters are in this state

Landry: 30–40% 40–50% 50–60% 60–70% 70–80% 80–90%
Wilson: 40–50% 50–60% 70–80%

Landry is worse. You expected what you got from the democrat.

Is anyone in favor of Landry other than his inner circle?

Graves is exactly what this state needs. Would be poetic if Graves can unseat Landry after Landry chopped up Graves’ district and sold it for parts.

I think this was the late 80’s early 90’s. Correct?

Yes. Should've ran in the primary when the LAGOP was forcing him out as a Rep in favor of the Nepo elected

The Oil and Gas industry would never do anything to hurt Louisiana or the environment. ????????????????

O&G does what state regulators allow. If they were allowed to dig canals back in the 30s and 40s that are now alleged to be the cause of land loss, sue the state regulators who allowed it. It’s ludicrous to sue one producer now for something a completely separate producer did during The last century. It’s nothing more than corporate reparations.

This is the epitome of biting the hand that feeds you. This shithole state would be a bigger dump if not for O&G. And the Guv leads the Gypsy train of trial lawyers shitting all over the industry.

I'm from Acadiana, seemed like it was just boomers that voted for him. Most of the Republicans I know under 40 either voted for Wags or Hewitt.

A lot those people will vote for anyone who has an accent, hunts, is Catholic, and has a Cajun last name. It's that "one of us" mentality.

Graves ought to run on how he got Congress to eliminate the Social Security windfall and offset provisions.

I guess they had forgotten why Boustany beat him for Congress. He tried to screw Louisiana based oil company and shutdown offshore oil fields early to make bank for the Bayou Lafourche Bunch (workboat owners)
