Thank God they are focusing on this instead of insurance reform.

Didn’t you get busted for being a Democrat operative on the Poliboard?

Nothing like an xrated halftime show to show the clean, wholesome fun the NFL is.
Will they be promoting the devil again.

many are also hardworking taxpayers with children who have serious concerns about the fact that past Super Bowl halftime performances have been less than family-friendly."
Per the last antecedent rule, this means that it is the children who have serious concerns. Somehow I doubt that, but this is a good example of the poor drafting that leads to so many awfully written statutes and regulations.
P.S. to the pearl clutcher legislators: Puppy Bowl XXI will be on Animal Planet. Halftime show is all kittens, with the famous Kitty Halftime Show.
If, despite that family friendly option, you nonetheless tune in to the SB halftime show then you have only yourself to blame.

The Louisiana Legislature is a fricking absolute joke and embarrassment.

What’s truly changed in all of this here is the adults not having the good sense and personal responsibility to know the time and place for all of this, and it’s certainly not when you have kids watching all of this stuff. It’s like humanity doesn’t know any better anymore, when you know good and well they do, but just don’t care anymore.

quote:maybe so but it’s clear that Landry and his sycophants are more than capable of this idiocy all by themselves. The legislature has always been dominated by the white republican hypocrites, it’s just that now with Landry they are free from any reasonable chance of reprisal for their actions or words

worst possible situation considering the only alternative is the democrats and their race pimps. There is no place for common sense in state government

Why does it have to be a shite show lately every time New Orleans gets to host a Super Bowl.

Odd that they don't know it is the NFL.

In 2013 the state revenues from the super bowl were around 21 million. Should be around 28-30 this time around. Guess the state will just pass the next time they ask New Orleans to host a game??
