What do you expect? It is the same party that unnecessarily destroys a strong economy then touts their "great economic recovery"

Now whip it
Into shape
Shape it up
Get straight
Go forward
Move ahead
Try to detect it
It's not too late
To whip it
Whip it good

Good for the rest of the US, I won't be wearing a mask indoors.

I've probably been told to "mask up" twice in the past month in Illinois.
I doubt that would happen in Louisiana.

Not a state, but Washington, D.C. has also reimposed mask mandates
The Mayor that imposed it also did so, right before she went to and officiated a maskless wedding. Good thing yall are listening to those holy and wise politicians!!

Makes me wonder if he would have instituted a mask mandate 2 weeks ago and shite kept spiking HARD, would people have finally woken up to how ineffective masks are?
No, he has that covered too. Remember during the last spike, in his press conferences he would scold us like children that we weren't following the rules properly and would threaten us with more restrictions if we didn't behave and make the numbers go down.

is this actually true? It wouldn't surprise me at all. Just wondering if it's fact.

Kentucky is doing it for govt buildings and encouraging private businesses to require masks, but it's not mandatory.
Yet.
Yet.

I think Nevada was inspired by Louisiana's insanity....and imposed a mandate in response.
Sadly, masks are about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. So this is all to placate people who are scared.

Dems LOVE this stuff.
You are not wrong, but this is practically what politicians do across both parties. This country needs a viable 3rd party system more than ever.

Mississippi Governor Reeves calls new CDC guidance “wrong & foolish”
“It seems in the last six months they’ve become very, very political, and certainly, their decision that they made in the last couple of days reeks of politics and it has nothing to do with rational science.”
“If you are trying to increase the number of individuals who get vaccinated in our state, the worst thing you can possibly do is tell them ‘whether you get vaccinated or not, you’re still going to have to do all the same things.’ It creates perverse incentives and it makes no sense whatsoever. It was wrong and quite frankly, it was foolish, and it’s hurting more than it’s helping in the pandemic,” Reeves said.
“I don’t anticipate, in the state of Mississippi from my office, making any more major changes in mask policy,” Reeves said.

Large public gatherings in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, 74 percent of 469 infections were among those who had been fully vaccinated.
These stats were picked from some annual gay orgy of 20k+ people. Don't think that's a comparable situation for most people.
