Louisiana is the only state in the US to reimpose indoor mask mandates

I knew about the mandate, but I didn't know that Louisiana was going at it alone.
That has to really help out the tourism industry.

The CDC last week published the data that has driven its revision for guidelines about mask wearing. According to the data, among outbreaks of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus at large public gatherings in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, 74 percent of 469 infections were among those who had been fully vaccinated. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the CCP virus.
According to a statement from the governor’s office, it said the CDC’s data suggests that while vaccination reduces a person’s chance of becoming infected with COVID-19, those who do contract the Delta variant, even though they may be fully vaccinated, may still transmit it to others.
“After reviewing new data from the CDC, speaking with public health advisors and hearing from hospital leadership and the business community, I am reinstating Louisiana’s statewide mask mandate indoors, including in schools to protect our children who are too young to be vaccinated and our teachers and staff,” Gov. John Bel Edwards, a Democrat, said in a statement.

Jindal is hated in this state for his second term where he did this same thing. Hopefully Edward’s gets the same treatment, but I doubt it. He’s a white Edward’s, people will love him for “saving us”

This is not true. Nevada has as well. Not sure about any others.

And in less than 2 weeks this variant will be gone (because the Rt is dropping, not because of masks) and he will take credit for it because of his mandate.

Edwards and Latoya are true leaders who don’t worry about what other states do.
They are going to keep us safe regardless because that’s what they do.

1. Kids aren't getting hurt by this at a rate worthy of making executive orders to protect them. It's like the fricking flu. RSV is much more dangerous for kids and is rampant right now.
2. Vaccinated adults aren't getting hurt by this and the vaccine is available on damn near every street corner. So you're punishing kids by putting them in masks because adults won't get vaccinated?
Stop letting the unvaccinated hold everyone hostage. Remove all restrictions and let the chips fall where they may.

Well our representatives in Baton Rouge certainly showed him how United they could be at limiting his power when they overturned his vetoes last week….

We have to do more. More...to hurt our economy. More to bankroll the vaccine companies. More to control the citizens who are too stupid or lazy to say "No." We have to do...more.

Conveniently timed at the peak of this surge so when the numbers are better a month from now he’ll say the decrease is due to the mandate and extend it.

Not a state, but Washington, D.C. has also reimposed mask mandates, however, it is surrounded by two states that haven't.

Makes me wonder if he would have instituted a mask mandate 2 weeks ago and shite kept spiking HARD, would people have finally woken up to how ineffective masks are?

Absolutely.
Sometime in the early part of Jindal's second term, he decided to run for federal office. So he reformatted himself into what he thought would make him more appealing to national republicans. This conflicted with what republicans in Louisiana wanted out of him. And he miscalculated on what the national republican party wanted - since those voters moved away from social conservatism in the George W Bush era and towards classical liberalism and populism after 2010.
But at least Jindal had a first term that was successful. Some major economic development wins. He handled the Gustav evacuations and prep brilliantly and efficiently.
What did JBE do in his first term beside wreck the state's economy?

If a law is unjust it is your duty to break it.
