I usually clean out my truck while my gas is pumping and throw trash in the can there. The only thing I'll throw out the window are banana peels and things like that. I figure that's just fertilizer. Rednecks that toss trash in pickup beds is a big problem. shite just flies out when the turbo diesel starts whining and they hit 90 on I-10.

Umm actually I visited San Diego for the first Time a few years ago and I was shocked at the amount of litter on the side of the road. It was actually worse than it is around here. Also the amount of fat people there rivals what we have here. I thought California was the land of avocado toast and açaí bowls.

I can’t imagine throwing trash out of my vehicle. I typically clean out my truck of trash when getting gas.

Few years back I got a call from an “official” from a small, rural town thats essentially a “white flight” landing spot right outside the North La city I live. This man proceeds to tell me that they found a receipt from my Debit/CC in a bag of trash that was found at a rural dump site apparently. This jackoff says I need to come collect all of “My Trash” or they will be forced to issue me a ticket for Littering or something to that effect.
Needless to say I told him to GTFO here with that BS & then went about explaining to to him that I live in a neighborhood that has weekly Trash pickup & is 30 MILES from this dump site, so why would I (or any1 else) drive 30 miles outta town just to litter? He had no answer & then ended the conversation abruptly. LOL
Id like to add that the BIGGEST & TRASHIEST thing certain people do ALL THE TIME is throwing cigarette butts any & everywhere like its not trash.

People want to blame blacks but the trashiest ones i see are the good ole boys in pick up trucks. They clean their cab by tossing it into the bed and then it magically flies out...laziness

Because people in Louisiana a are by in large fat, stupid and lazy which is the perfect litter demo.
You can always tell how trashy a person that litters is by what is being thrown out. Fast food, cheap alcohol containers, energy drinks, etc.
The politicians in this state exploit the dumb, poor and lazy for everything they can at the expense the Mr and Mrs Q Tax Payor.
Eliminate income tax, increase sales and tourism (non resident) taxes and impose the highest taxes on items like alcohol, all types of tobacco(smoking supplies - papers, etc.), processed foods and anything bought from an establishment that also sells gasonline.

I guarantee you that they are responsible for far more than 31.2% of the litter problem. Just like every other problem, they are responsible for far more than their population percentage.

I was riding my bike a couple weeks ago and a altima pulled over abut 50 yards in front of me. A fat lady got out and started chunking bags in the ditch. I didn't have my phone so I called the license plate # in when I got home. Don't think anything came of it. I called her a few choice words and she flipped me off, didn't phase her.

I live down a backroad where most people own land and have acres for yards. Nice Bayou across the road in front of our houses. Many people have a burn pile right by the fricking Bayou. Mine is in the back corner of my piece of land. fricking trash!

Even if this were true, and I have never seen any evidence that it is, what difference does it make? There is less cleanup because as a population, we don't demand better. We simply don't care enough, and the minute anyone suggests that things COULD BE better and that other places do things better than we do, someone steps up to tell everyone the person saying such things has become a traitor and how great things really are here.
I love LA, and I'll never live elsewhere I don't think, but anytime I travel and then return home I'm immediately depressed at how shitty the place mostly is, and mostly by choice.
