Getting very small amounts of snow in Thibodaux. Can barely see it, but it's there.

Way, way back in the day crossed the river at Vicksburg on my return to college in similar conditions - young, dumb and lord knows what else - in the late 70s

Got tired of having a swampy ice skating rink for a yard so I just went rig up a quick connect on my water tank and blew down all of the lines going to my shop. Started snowing while I was out working on it. No accumulation in AP. Tin on the shop was 18* this morning.

The flurries just stopped here north of Walker. Roads by me seem in good shape.
A fyi for Walker/Watson peeps. John's grocery is open and have propane and kerosene. They are making bank today

But can just anyone cross it today? I know someone who tried to cross yesterday and cops were stopping everyone asking why/where they were going and turning people around if it wasn't a true emergency. This was on the Port Allen side trying to get in to BR.

Just got a text that rolling blackouts are about to begin in Baton Rouge
Why?
A shitton of people in BR already are blacked out.

Just saw an update from cleco that they will start rolling blackouts soon. Being with mamou, Eunice, ville platte, and Opelousas areas. God speed my friends

Is there a link I may have missed for Entergy stating when/where they plan to do blackouts? Hopefully they aren't just randomly cutting people off with no way to check when it'll be restored.

I haven’t gotten any text about rolling blackouts... but I am east of Walker. Don’t see why they would do this. The sun will be coming out soon and the temps will get up to the mid 30’s and the ice on the lines will melt off this afternoon.

I finally have a tailor- made reason to stop working 14 hours a day and binge Netflix for two days. Thank you, mysterious universe. And then cable goes out.
