Nice layering of powder already. Tiny flakes but a lot coming down. It’s very powdery though.

Nope, seems as if they do not. I am not judging. If you've never lived in a climate that experiences this regularly, it can be tough to imagine.

They are about to see it in real-time. It's beautiful and destructive. Hope everyone is fully prepared. Please bring pets in. It will kill them.

Chances of driving from Shreveport to Baton Rouge on Tuesday? Time of day doesn't really matter. Just wondering if there's any idea how likely a significant portion of I-49 or the MS River Bridge in BR is closed on Tuesday.

Maybe you can ice skate there up the rivers

Any of the radar indicated freezing rain actually making it to the ground currently? Loos like a good patch from Laffy up through to Woodville

Mrs Sun God just got furious at me for saying there’s a good chance she can’t just casually drive over to her mom’s house for a couple days. She thinks it’s gonna be a cute Instagram photo op show shower

Getting ready to head out to the store. Of course I need to get some things in the middle of this. Doesn’t seem to be any ice under the snow but the wind is blowing this stuff all over. The other captain just now texted to cancel today’s tennis match

Freezing rain/sleet in north iberville.

Just double checked everything for winterizing.

All we can do now is wait.

TWC's new branding for this week "Historic Winter Invasion"

This has always been my beef with the media especially the drama queens on the weather channel.

It seems like they try to drum up every storm as the "next worst storm ever."

They should stick to the facts and leave the hyperbole for when it is absolutely necessary. Otherwise, it the chicken little effect. You can cry wolf only so many times before no one believes you.

That is why I would believe this message board before any of the garbage they spew.

Just checked the gas for the generators, just in case.
