Meh. I think a “football” state would have more than 1 power conference school. No true in-state rivalries here.
ETA. Our tap water is legit.

My FIL and BIL both retired from the Waterplant. They both said you would be surprised by how little they do to purify the water.

NYC’s water comes from the Catskills.

Drinking water here in my part of Texas is awful so I just drink Modelo instead.

Of all the issues in Albuquerque, it had some great tasting tap water. I suppose almost anywhere drawing from aquifers is going to be good.

There's a reason why they keep building bottling plants along the I-12 corridor.

The reason you feel slimey in the shower is due to the water being soft. The soap isn't stripping the natural oils from you skin which is a good thing. Your skin will be a lot better.
Moving from Baton Rouge to Houston was a bitch because the water over here is hard. I miss the water in Baton Rouge. It has a little sulphur in it, but it's all good.

I guess multiple Heismans, SEC and National Championships don’t matter. Not to mention the number of guys in the NFL.
Sure Louisiana isn’t a good football state. Meh

Grew up in NOLA. Maternal grandparents from Baton Rouge. Would bring jugs of water when visiting....thought it odd - not as I got older

New York tap water is excellent.
ETA: NYC, not sure about the rest of the State.

Yeah, I was kind of surprised by the water quality when I moved here.
The city does end pretty abruptly to the north and it's immediately the Catskills, Hudson Valley etc

I read about in the WSJ years ago.
They make a special point to have really good water for the bagels there.
