The forgiveness since then has been pursuant to a Congressional law that was passed in 2007

Doughty is one of the top 3 judges in federal courts in LA. One of the easiest and most down to earth judges to deal with as well.

Texas Tribune is probably sad, but the following is correct - “…the Biden administration didn’t have the authority to make the changes”.

Biden administration attempted to legislate. There is a reason it ended up separating this from the other decree it had been consistently placed with in drafts before being separated out into its own (the one about not suspending players/students based on accusations without due process). This was most easily challenged and the most difficult to implement when trying to equalize money in sports.

EDIT: Also there was similar ruling that ATF’s rule change on bump stocks needs to be done by Congress.

… The justices are not supporting the use of bump stocks or denying that they can be banned. They are just saying that it is not the role of the agency or now the court to do what was not done in Congress.

I love the part about withholding education funding if they don’t accept the Title 9.

So, frick all the other kids, right?

If the states dont automatically accept yours transgender changes in schools, the rest of the kids should suffer from lack of funding?

I love that mindset. I mean, that Brandon guy did stand in front of the cameras and say that trans folks are extremely brave.
